| The future of Web Development. One can use any JAVA IDE to develop and debug web applications made using GWT.
Pros:
1. Debugging is very easy. Unlike conventional javascript scripting, with GWT you can use the power of JAVA debuggers to debug JavaScript and skip all the nightmares.
2. It uses JAVA's power, so it is Objec Oriented and developers can use the flexibility and polymorphism of Classes to build powerfull business applications.
3. Very easy to customize the components and introduce your own.
Cons:
1. Since this is still a beta at the time of this posting, mouse positioning and dialog positioning needs some improvements. Need windows, just like prototype windows. You can always develop your own :-)
2. Needs a Designer application, like delphi. GWTDesigner is a good start. |
