Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/01 00:05 I'm looking for in-house Email Software that can handle 80,000 plus messages per hour. I have a PowerMTA for my SMTP Server. I'm a one person company so I'm looking for an affordable solution.

If anyone call help me out I'd appreciate it. If you know the cost of the software that would be a plus.

Thanks,
Car54

Re:Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/01 00:21 From all I have seen PowerMTA should certainly be capable of more than 80,000 messages per hour (I've seen SendMail do 100K). Perhaps it is a configuration issue?

Re:Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/01 00:45 PowerMTA Standard is good for 80k to 100k.
PowerMTA Enterprise is good for 500k and up.

You might consider Arial Campaign Enterprise, Gammadyne or Groupmail from Infacta.com.

I have tried Gammadyne, but it doesn't handle opens and clickthru's. Does GroupMail?

Re:Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/03 20:12 Hi Car54. GroupMail doesn't have in-built tracking for open and click-through rates, but our GroupMetrics service integrates with GroupMail so that you can add open rate counters and traceable links in your messages. For more information about GroupMetrics, visit http://www.group-metrics.com

You can download our GroupMail Free Edition to test the UI, although many features available in our Personal and Business Editions are not available in the Free Edition (like automated opt-out and bounce processing, direct import, etc.)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at sales@infacta.com

For a nice comparative review of email marketing software, you might visit my blog post below:

Email Marketing Software Comparative Review (2008)

For more information about GroupMail and the different editions, you can visit http://group-mail.com/asp/common/editions.asp

All the best

Tom

Re:Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/04 20:05 Tom,
I take it GroupMail Marketing Pack includes GroupMetrics... correct?

I'm on a server with Windows 2003 with 2 GBs of Memory, and plenty of bandwidth, can you tell me what to expect in emails per hour?

Thanks,
Car54

Re:Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/04 21:10 Hi Car54. Yes, the GroupMail Marketing Pack bundles our GroupMail Business Edition software with our 2 web services (GroupMetrics and GroupSurveys). You can roll those services in ala carte as well if you are only interested in metrics but not surveys.

For more information about the Marketing Pack, you can read my blog post below:

GroupMail Marketing Pack Overview (Blog)
http://www.messagingtimes.com/blog/?p=1339

It's hard to predict speed, as there are so many factors that impact it; i.e. message size, mail server capacity, Internet connection rate, PC Specs, etc. As an example, we process about 13,000 messages an hour, using only one delivery connection with GroupMail Personal Edition. GroupMail Business Edition can open up to 256 simultaneous delivery connections, so it would process messages much faster. For more information, read:

Increase Sending Speeds of Newsletters/Mail Campaigns by 50% (GroupMail Blog)
http://blog.group-mail.com/?p=13

I hope that this helps.

Re:Looking for Affordable High Speed Software? - 2008/03/05 03:22 What's this forum? An advertisement for GroupMail? Lots of whispering going on here about GroupMail from newbies. Probably the same person posting to himself. Spammers everywhere.
